The challenge
The Marlowe is a 40-room boutique property where occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR were tracked in a spreadsheet updated once a night, so the numbers the front desk was working from were always yesterday's. Housekeeping status lived on a paper board updated over radio, arrivals and departures got cross-referenced by hand against the PMS export, and an out-of-order room could sit off inventory for days before anyone followed up on the ticket.
Guest notes, repeat-stay history, and VIP flags were scattered across the reservation system and staff memory, so a returning guest's preferences didn't always make it to whoever was at the desk that shift.
The approach
We built one front-desk screen: tonight's occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR live against the same night last week, today's arrivals and departures with room readiness and guest notes attached, a needs-attention feed surfacing what's actually urgent, a full room-status grid across every floor, and maintenance tickets tied to the specific room they affect.

The result
The front desk now works from tonight's real numbers instead of yesterday's export, housekeeping status updates the moment a room turns instead of over radio, and every out-of-order room has a ticket someone's accountable for instead of sitting forgotten. Guest notes travel with the reservation, so a repeat guest's preferences show up no matter who's on shift.
